William Morris Compton Exhibition Poster
The final wallpaper that William Morris created is seen on this exhibition poster produced as a fine art giclée print. Morris was commissioned by Lawrence Hodson to design wallpaper for his house Compton Hall, the pattern was named “Compton” and was registered in 1895. John Henry Dearle and William Morris worked together to develop the magnificent, bold pattern. A variety of orange, blue and white flowers and leaves are intertwined throughout the design against a dark green background.
